8th China- CEEC Events on Education Cooperation and Exchanges (Ningbo, China)

China – Central and Eastern European Trade and Investment Exhibition and China- Central and Eastern European Events on Education Cooperation and Exchanges (CEEC) were organised for the eighth time between May 16, 2023, and May 20, 2023, in one of China’s oldest cities Ningbo with a population of nearly ten million. The city is located in Zhejiang Province (eastern coast of China), which is one of the most economically developed, innovative, knowledge-based economic regions in the country. There are 109 universities and colleges in the province with 1.4 million students (including 23,000 foreign students from 176 countries). According to the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) university ranking, 22 universities with 118 scientific fields are at the top of the list. One of the 15 best, top universities is the Ningbo University, which, together with the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Ningbo City Municipal Education Office, invited the Edutus University delegation to the 8th China-CEEC Events on Education Cooperation and Exchanges event series. This year, Hungary was the distinguished invited guest at the event. Edutus University was represented by Ms. Márta Pongrácz Bognár, Dr. Zoltán Peredy, Dr. Gábor Szaniszló and Mr. Huang Junfeng, who visited the Ningbo campus of several Chinese Partner Universities (CPU) and made bilateral and multilateral negotiations with the management of these Higher Education Institutions. Chinese universities have indicated their intention to set up a strategic cooperation partnership with Edutus University. The first step can be this mutually beneficial way of their participation in the Edutus University International Week in 2024. In addition, they would be also interested in different short-term courses in the frame of the Edutus Summer Academy Program or in realising international staff and student exchange programs. Edutus University’s recognition is indicated by the fact that on May 18, 2023, within the framework of an international conference in front of an audience (several hundred people), a cooperation agreement could be concluded between Ningbo City College of Vocational Technology (NCC) and Edutus University, which was signed on behalf of the Edutus University by dr. Signed by Gábor Szaniszló.
