Welcome to the webpage of Edutus College.
The predecessor of Edutus College, the College for Modern Business Studies was established in 1992 in Tatabánya. It was the first non-state-owned business college in Hungary.
During its more than 20 years of existence, the College went through several changes: the Tatabánya-based school was extended with a branch in Odorhellen (Székelyudvarhely), Transylvania, then with a branch in Budapest. In 2011 CMBS and JánosHarsányi College joined, enlarging our portfolio of training programs with a renowned, from many aspects market leader tourism and hospitality program. With this move we became an affiliate member – the only one among the higher educational institutions in Hungary - in the number one tourism organization, the Madrid-based United Nations World Tourism Organisation. Since then the UNWTO has selected Edutus College to join its worldwide Knowledge Network. As a result, besides many advantages, both our teaching staff and our students have direct access to the most up-to-date study materials.
In Tatabánya besides the business courses, technical training programs also started to develop and flourish. Cooperating with Bay Zoltán Applied Research public non-profit ltd and the Industrial Park in Tatabánya, from 2014 the College provides international level research and education and the application of marketable technologies in its laser laboratory.
As a non-state-owned higher educational institution recognized by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee we do our best, and provide our fresh graduates good chances in the labour market to find a job. Utilizing our good company and local government connections, more than 75% of our students find a permanent job at their traineeship placement.
With the support of ERASMUS cooperation and mobility programme at TEMPUS public foundation, the College has good working relationship with more than 50 higher educational institutions in Europe, enabling our students to complete their traineeship and courses abroad. Every year we organise the International Week at Edutus College, when six or eight foreign professors hold different courses. Year by year more and more students arrive with Erasmus programme to study or to complete their traineeship, mainly from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Turkey.
Edutus is a student-oriented college, not only due to its size, but because here students and teachers have a close and personal relationship, and we also have special programmes to help professional sportspeople and students with special needs in their studies.
As a private college, we offer a program where students can work to finance their studies; we also introduced webinars and part-time trainings abroad.
We look forward to join us! Apply for admission!
